The game isn't super-sluggish, but it can get a bit jerky at times. Back a year ago when we reviewed Gameloft’s racing game Asphalt 4 for the iPhone and iPod touch, and even six months or so ago, the very idea of Asphalt 5 (7) would have been thrilling: the company has so substantially enhanced its graphics engine and control schemes from the prior title that the result is quite nearly the equal of a PlayStation Portable racing gamea major accomplishment. Pop-up doesn't seem to be an issue either, but there's a hitch: this appears to have come at the expense of speed. This app allows you to purchase virtual items within the app and may contain third-party advertisements that may redirect you to a third-party site.
